Impact & Sustainability

People and planet
over profit.

We measure success in conservation results, not revenue. We support foundations working to restore reefs, recycle ocean plastic and protect wildlife on the front line.

By the numbers

Where your jewelry has gone to work

Real results from Curaçao's coast to wild spaces around the world. These numbers grow with every piece sold.

How we work

One purchase, three kinds of good

Buying a Kukudushi is more than owning beautiful jewelry. It sets a small chain of positive impact in motion.

Protect wildlife

We support foundations that protect real animals and their habitats, the same animals you track through your piece.

Clean the ocean

Through Green Phenix, plastic is collected from Curaçao's coast and given a new life, including the recycled base of every Kompayon.

Empower people

Every piece is handmade on Curaçao, creating skills, income and independence for local people who face barriers to work.

Protect wildlife

Protecting real animals, worldwide

We support foundations working on the front line to protect real animals and the habitats they depend on, the same species you follow through your piece.

That support reaches Game Rangers International in Zambia, Lion Guardians in Kenya, Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire in the Caribbean, and reef restorers BRANCH Coral Foundation here on Curaçao.

Clean the ocean

Ocean waste, reborn as a Kompayon

The Kompayon line is made from upcycled Caribbean beach plastic, so the waste washing up on our shores becomes something you will actually keep.

Our recycling partner Green Phenix collects ocean-bound plastic from Curaçao's coast and gives it a second life as the base of every Kompayon.

Empower people

Handcrafted by local artisans

Every Kukudushi is shaped by hand by our Curaçaoan colleagues in Willemstad, trained to the rank of Maestro. Each finished piece carries the maker's signature.

Creating work at home is part of the mission. Part of our team joined us while facing barriers to employment, and here they build a craft and an income.

Partners help too: Green Phenix creates jobs for people facing barriers to employment, and Cafe Magic gives people with a mild intellectual disability a place to work and grow.
